Inspiring Excellence in Future Legal Professionals

Professor Stacey L. Williams, Esq.

Since 2015, Professor Stacey L. Williams, Esq., has been an integral part of the Judson Lyons Society (JLS), hosting and teaching LSAT preparatory courses for aspiring law students. Her dedication to empowering students of color with the tools and confidence necessary for success has profoundly shaped the journeys of many Morehouse Men.

Professor Williams’ passion for LSAT education began in 1999 with one student who struggled in traditional classroom settings. Through one-on-one guidance, she helped him build his confidence and sharpen his skills — ultimately leading him not just to acceptance at the University of Alabama Law School but to earning a scholarship at Harvard Law School. This inspiring relationship also motivated Professor Williams herself to attend law school, proving the enduring impact of mentorship and belief.

A Spelman College alumna and graduate of Georgia State University College of Law, Professor Williams has served in numerous distinguished roles: Senior Deputy Attorney General for the State of Nevada, Adjunct Professor at the University of Georgia School of Law, a Georgia-approved mediation trainer, and an Arbitrator for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). Her career reflects a commitment to advocacy, education, and community empowerment.

Through her partnership with JLS, Professor Williams has developed a uniquely supportive and low-cost LSAT course, focused on deep comprehension, test-taking strategies, and creating a safe space for student learning. Even after relocating to the West Coast, she continued to offer classes virtually, ensuring consistent support for JLS students.

Thanks to her guidance, JLS can proudly celebrate numerous success stories: students achieving significant LSAT score increases, gaining admission to top 100 law schools, and receiving substantial scholarships. Professor Williams’ contribution has been nothing short of transformational, and her work continues to pave the way for a new generation of Black excellence in the legal profession.

We are proud to honor Professor Stacey Williams for her remarkable dedication, leadership, and lasting impact on our community.
